20p's and trolley tokens in a £1 vend
I get a large amount of 20p coins every time I collect from my towers even though all my machines are clearly marked with 'Insert £1 Coin' stickers. I have had several people at sites say "it's just kids" but are kids really that dumb? Who actually thinks they are going to get a pot of sweets for 20p?! I accept some very young kids might make that mistake, but would they have their own money? I would have thought kids that were old enough to have their own pocket money would be able to read basic English.
When I bought my last batch of Clenport's (plastic barrels) they would sometimes jam on a 20p because of the shape of the round metal plate in the centre of the barrel but then Clenport sent me some new plates and I haven't had a jam since. When I first bought them I was convinced someone was deliberately trying to jam them because it happened so often, now it's just an extra few quid a month with no hassle.
I also get trolley tokens but nowhere near as often, they tend to arrive in batches as if another operator is offloading theirs.
I would really like to know if these are common problems/any solutions and hear from as many people as possible

I had 4 trolley tokens in 1 machine yesterday, don't think there is much you can do about it.

It happens, welcome to vending, if it gets too bad remove your machine.

Take the coin mech out. You will see a pawl which looks a bit like a bent finger. It has a screw which pushes a piece of sprung metal down on top of the pawl. Take the pawl out and sharpen the tip....this will bite into the tokens better and stop them being accepted.

I understand the part you mean and will give this a go if you think it works but from what I can see most shopping trolley tokens seem to be exactly the same width and circumference as a £1 coin so how does it stop trolley tokens but still let £1 coins through?

A lot of trolley tokens have deeper grooves as the have advertising or pictures stamped into them. The sharpened pawl digs in to the grooves, stopping them from going through. Give it a go....hope it works for you.

My two year old daughter got to test my new Bouly this morning before putting on site. She was only allowed a trolley coin! Am I tight?
