sponsorhip

Post by Coin Operated Group »

well the main sponsor has pulled the plug, (hurleys) , and the renewal is up for forum. I know what a lot of certain people want to happen to the forum, anyway, jurys out.

I think big problem with the forum has been mass email function hasn't worked for 2 years and I haven't pushed the forum enough. never sent a mass email and just let it run. I know the forum is a powerful forum and tbh im at loggerheads what to do.
I know what a few suppliers want me to do, but to be honest, the phenomenon of the tower has subsided.

maybe I should of sent mass emails? but didn't seem right as a neutral.

im sure a couple of people are rubbing their hands hoping it closes, maybe not.

anyway, thanks to everyone for contributing. shame the people that log in and look don't contribute, if your up for sponsoring a banner up the top let me know.

regards
matt

Mat,

Why not have team with responsibilities with the following duties:

Sponsorship
Technical
Advertising
Help desk
Products

(Two members on each would offer flexibility)

Plus whatever else you think!

When one door closes another opens, I am sure with the right expertise, other sponsors would be willing.

What is your thoughts?

I agree one off fee, this forum has proved powerful in the past and will continue to do so. We have all been fobbed off previously by suppliers, there is safety in numbers and knowledge, I know thats worth money to me.

If you want me to ring round suppliers in the new year for sponsorship i would be happy to do this?

No notice!
Not responding to email for two weeks!

Not exactly professional.

Do you not find this a bit odd?

I would just like to add that this forum has proven very useful for newbies such as us and it would be a real shame if it were to fold.
There is clearly a need for an unbiased knowledgebase like this, whether it be for alerts about ineffective insurance cover or the latest Pringles offers; I think we all benefit from membership of this forum, so I hope it continues.
I'd be up for an affordable annual fee (Also happy to help out with the site with advertising etc)

I think this forum is great. Its really helped me a couple of times and saved me money. If its a pain and expensive to run maybe we should just set up a Facebook group?
