Re: Surprise Surprise!
With 500 towers this happens a number of times a year. Now the first thing I do when visiting a site is to try and turn handle to the left. Have changed a number of coin mechs as a result and saved a lot of freebies,.

Re: Surprise Surprise!
Yeah, I tend to turn handle both ways after cleaning machine. Sometimes also run a couple of coins through and give returned tubs to vender.
Seems to me that some mechanisms are more stronger than others. Have had tubz vending machines for over a year and not a murmur so buy new machines from them as the quality is top notch. Also have a load of Hurleys 2nd hand machines they have been so so. Purchased new Clenports from Hurleys and 8/10 have had mechanisms broken - these machines have a pop rivet on the lid.
Have about 20 old black Clenports and the mechanisms from these seem to be top notch, pity that they do not look as good as the chrome machines.

Re: Surprise Surprise!
Thanks for the update Pablo,
It's very dissapointing to learm that very recently you and others are having so many problems with new Clenport machines, which uptil now have proved to be a most reliable unit. The good thing about Clenports (in the past now!) is that they have kept improving the product over the years. The last batch of machines I recieved (via Salysol) had the new one piece drum. this new development makes it more difficult to jam the machine as you don't have the outer barrel with the knife edge to separate the pots. Jamming occurs when the knife edge catches the pot above the one being dispenced.
My questions are:
1. Are you sure they are in fact Clenports?
2. If they are, are they the latest models?
3. If not, why are you being supplied with older (obselete) models?
4. What is Clenports response?
I would like to see one of these machines if anyone around the Watford area.
Regards
Pete
