Investment ideas

I thought I'd try and make use of what are probably the most entrepreneurial brains in the country.

Anybody got any good investment ideas away from vending.
Ideally low or no involvement. I just want to put the money in and count the returns. Havent really got too much spare time.

most hands off investments i've come across are pretty low return unless you want to take some real risk.

backing other small-time entrepreneurs is a good one but you have to make sure you can get the money back off them and hope that they don't flop.

Buy to let mortgages are un-regulated so if you've got a lot sitting in the bank you could try lending to landlords and worst case you repossess the house. if you do it yourself you can charge 10-12% if you go through an agent you can get 5% and the agent keeps the difference

Thanks, Im already into property but not convinced expanding in this area is right at the present time.

Not really into paper investments but i have bough shares and sold them in the past at a profit like recently when tesco went **** up i bought some shares and sold them when they went back up. What i did was look for shares near a 52 week low that are big companies that are well known for example ladbrokes was one share i bought and sold this year.

Silver is a good investment as well but not for the faint hearted

Ive followed that idea with shares before. But got badly burnt when I got £15k worth of Barclays shares and lost about 70% on them. Ive just started that again and done well out of Lloyds.

Ive seen websites selling gold and silver but they always seem to have big commissions on them.

Why not invest more in vending by getting into different machines like fruit machines or something?

I would buy fruit machines or any type of machine for the right site. Its sites that are tough.

you need an operators licence to have anything to do with fruit machines.

You can until your caught and as long as the landlord doesn't say he gets the machine from you.
