Quite cheap actually, suppose it depends on if your just buying a load of empty cardboard boxes.

Went into a site today, (mot garage) I expected to collect maybe £40. Tower was completely empty £81, because the site owner had got rid of his 2 charity boxes. Said he always took the cash out of the boxes every night and saved it till the agent visited but it was always £10-£15 short.
He wants to support charities but can't handle people stealing, loves his tower :-)

Don't Hurley's still sell Childline honesty box franchises? Someone on here must be doing them, would like to hear an honest account of what average losses are.....

I agree with what most other people have said - they are a total nuisance and operators seem to have no qualms about putting boxes into sites that already have a tower or other boxes.

Just dropped a tower of at a Peugeot dealership today. As I was screwing the tower to the base, the assistant manager who had agreed to the tower came down and said ''really sorry but the manager says no''.
I was just about to pack it back up when the manager came past and said ''oh, I thought it was one of those boxes''. Apparently he has a thing about the charity boxes, as he has worked places where the money or the sweets were always short, and the operator always tried to guilt trip them about it!

Luckily I used my considerable charm to explain how secure the tower system was, and that our machines were fully insured against loss and damage, and he finally agreed to take it.

I explained to the assistant about how much of an unworkable concept the honesty boxes were, and that his manager was right to say no to anyone who tries getting one in next to my tower!
