Re: New pound coin
Updating these coin mechs is proving a right pain, is anyone going to be ready for March 28th. Ive managed about 15 so far. Got another 15 mechs ready to go. There is no way I will have them all done in time.

Re: New pound coin
im not worried bout being ready for march, old £1 still around till october, im doing 1 a night, the pringles mechs take a little longer as new £1 coin catches on edgo=ing as it goes round so that needs filing down to. i got 10 ready to exchange locally, then will convert 10 i bring in.
will do my toy vends on site as i have different ones and no replacement mechs

Re: New pound coin
Done 100 so far. Been collecting spare mechs for years so I can do 60/70 at a time. Taking next week off to get all my spares done. Looking to get tools in for edging (as explained by Ade above). will be collecting labels today (£142.00 + VAT/per 1000 from Herts Labels 01727 864867). You may get them cheaper as I've already paid for setup costs! Doing some contract work locally for a confused old boy who needs my help.

Re: New pound coin
What circlip pliers are people using to remove circlip if switching over coin carriers?
Also I'm trying to fit Pringles coin mechs I've had lying around and milled out to fit both coins. They are being fitted into Clenport Pringles machine but appear to be very tight fit on the body of the machine. The barrel is the type that has a slot you slide the mech into. Wondering if u can adapt the coin mech....maybe take off the metal verical bracket that sits on the top right. It has 2 screws in it.

Re: New pound coin
Taking some time out from collections. Managing about 50 aday. I use a screwdriver to remove the circlip. do it in a plastic bag to catch the darn thing when it flies off! It's the quickest an easiest way!

Re: New pound coin
Long handle, thin blade, insert between clip & handle, twist driver to loosen clip. then use driver to use to leaver the clip free. use a bit of controlled force but not too much, otherwise the clip will ping off and be lost forever!

Re: New pound coin
Cheers Pete had a look on YouTube at the use of a bottle opener to take the circlip off. Looks straightforward
