Are you still doing these? Is it necessary to change the carrier again after the 6 month switch over period from the old coins to the new coins?

As long as you have a business account with a high street bank they will continue to accept the old £1 for several years after October 2017.
However, they will cease to be accepted by shops and the like.

I have a Santander business account which allows me to deposit cash at Post Offices..Told by the tiller girl at my P. Office that they won't be accepting old coins after October. She's a bit dosy so I'm not sure this is right..anyone heard about this?

I wouldn't be concerned about the post office, the banks will continue to accept them anyway.

I too use Santander, you can not bank your cash at the branch it has to be through the post office

Yes Steve correct...think he post office will need to adjust their stance....as they are in principle a bank by proxy
