Anybody got experience of siting Towers in Church halls?
Hi just wondering if anyone has experience of siting sweet towers in church halls, bearing in mind they are used foe a variety of community purposes, no doubt the best approach would be on commission for the Church roof fund

I’m sure I read a previous post on here about someone trying this,I think they were having a bit of a nightmare with getting the ok from the committee or something similar. I am just browsing on my phone but if you search the forum I’m sure it will turn up and offer some instructions for.
I imagine the site could be a winner if you get it in.

Church Halls, I always find that:
A) either their is never anyone about to speak too.
B) the person you do speak too and agrees to a tower, does not/or did not have the authority to sanction it, so you end up removing it
C) the sales at time can be slow.
If you get a Church Hall, as indicated by Laurie, make sure you do it on a commission basis otherwise you may lose it.
Cheers
Pablo

Was it hard to actually get them in style?
We have a big YMCA place here that runs gymnastics and a few other classes and has a very small (one room) museum.
I am tempted to try and pitch to them now,it is funny because when I have been site finding I have been automatically going down the commission route but maybe I should try charity.

Hi Richard
Go for it, you have nothing to lose! Give them the option of commission or charity. It does sound like it's a busy one and worth your while to try.
When people ask about a 'genre' of site, it's difficult to give a full answer that fits all as each location is unique and if some have experienced difficulties it does not mean that they are all difficult to get into/manage. We ourselves have had machines in church halls that have done well, done crap, easy to service, hard to service, open each day, some limited opening times .... so you see, based on our experience we've experienced the lot but no one answer is right .... in vending, you can't wear blinkers, just keep going for it and it's the ONLY way you sort out the juicy sites.
Hope the above helps and good luck.
Kind regards,
Barbara

Hi Richard,
I have a couple of halls (had those since started) on charity and several that are on commission. So the answer is, you should site wherever you can, even the space station, nowhere should be overlooked! But we have lost in the ratio 3:1 charity v commission. Of course this may well be reversed for other parts of the country. You do indeed make more profit from charity sites however, we have found it far easier to get into sites especially if the proprietor gets a return. In all honesty Barbara's post is a good appraisal and everything she has suggested is par for the course.
