Hi there,
Not been around for a while but I have a question that i am hoping some more experienced operators can assist with.
I have been asked to put two 20p vending machines in a 24 hr taxi office (on a council estate - apparently lots of single ums and young kids in there on a daily basis...then there is the drivers) and two in a nearby cafe (again, lots of single mums and young children go in on a daily basis).
At the moment I only really do towers so would have to purchase the machines new (well used but you know what I mean)
I asked if they wanted a tower but both are adiment they only want a "loose change" vending option.
I have had a look and 4 x 20p beaver type vending machines plus stands plus stock is running into a few hundred pounds, which is fine if it is going to give me a return...not so much if not.
Obviously it is imposible to say if these sites will be viable or not but any feedback would be great....

Beavers are really only worth messing with on 50p vend now.
Trouble with 20p is there is not enough margin with premium products like skittles and Chocolate pebbles.
You can do a 20p vend with products like runts and Nippers and still make a bit but then you just get loads of wrapped pennies with matchsticks.
In short, unless you like doing this for a hobby, go for 50p vend machines!

I find that if you convert the beavers to vend capsules/bouncy balls at 20p they sell better than sweets.

Gobstoppers work at 20p and tattoos. I have 1 that does well with Nippers but other than that its mini eggs at 50p
