Hi everyone,
I have had a manager of a site call in from a large bowling alley asking me to PAT test my pringles machine as it has not been done before!
Can you please tel me the rules on PAT testing and how much it is likely to cost me?
The machine is an old AZKOYEN converted pringes machine
Kind regards
Ross

Re: PAT Testing
If the machine is hard wired in its classed as a fixed installation and you can get away with a 5 year visual inspection.
You can buy stickers from any electrical shop
If you get someone in it would just be a call out charge, it takes about 1 minute to complete.
£20-30 quid call out I would estimate.

Re: PAT Testing
ross site should have their own pat tester go in, they have to do things like kettles, toasters etc in canteen or cafe areas, they usually do every machine in there. see if you can find out who they use and phone them and mention your machine needs doing, cost you about a tenner. failing that you can buy the pat test stickers on ebay, fill it in with a years expiry and job done lol

Re: PAT Testing
Cheers guys,
Well the manager said all his machines have been done apart from mine. He can be a bit of a jobs worth so wants it properly done
I will call him and ask who he uses, will the PAT tester need the keys to get inside the machine?
Cheers
