Re: tubz vending,Snack-a-Can,Hurley's or independent?
I appreciate everyone's opinions and experiences, good or bad. I am just trying to get as much advice as possible before deciding which way to go-franchise or independent. I think there is definitely pros and cons for each method but most of the advice I have had so far (from various sources) has said go independent.
Thanks for all contributions so far, but would still like to hear from any other current or previous franchisees or independent operators about their experiences..........

do me a favour Kris, you lot have that many different standards that it makes me cry laughing tbh....
i am still finding yur machines in pubs that have other vendors in them so explain that one to me and the board if you please....
i have nothing against tubz vending as when i used you lot i was never ever let down but i do think that that is because i was an independent and not tied into any silly agreement..
i promise you this here and now if i was swtill doing the toweres and i found one in one of my customers i would do more that stick blue tak in the lock...

You are very quick to write us off, but did you tell them the reason was because when you bought another vending business from a exisiting tubz vending operator (even him himself said to you do not do what you were doing) that was putting self packed products into a vending tower that had tubz vending branding on the machines in a very high profile site (snow dome).
We tried our up most Ade to come to agreements with you about just this site but you decided to put self packed producs in a 3 vending towers that were all branded with tubz vending on them. tubz vending Brands products are covered with PLI on them but home self packed products are not, so if a customer found a forgein object in the self packed ones you had put into that site product it would have looked damaging on (tubz vending Brands) us as a company.
I will most probably get shot down here form other vendors but i feel that the last statement that Ade made was very unfair and that view should have been made on the private side of the forum...

About time you two berried the hatchet and stopped slagging each other off. You never know one day you might need each other!

if you read the thread properly it started as a vendor asking an opinion on best way forward regarding independant or franchise, i gave an opinion from experience, it wasnt a slagging off. the response from kris was nothing to do with the thread, it was a blatant swipe at me.
im not the sort of person that takes crap, never have been never will be. kris could have put a point about a franchise being best way forward but chose to try and make me look bad (which clearly did not work)
Regardless to this, me apart, tubz vending are still managing to upset other operators by getting franchisees to site towers on existing sites. so wether or not me and tubz vending did bury the hatchet are they going to stop damaging vending the way they are?
i think not............

Re: tubz vending,Snack-a-Can,Hurley's or independent?
It's plain and simple. tubz vending are trying to push the independants out of the market . Snack A Can used to do the same. Except they always put their machine beside a tubz vending one...and told the operator to leave it there till the tubz vending operator got fed up and removed theirs. I know because they told me to do it.
