I've got a stand thats really rusty around the base. What paint is best to use to paint over the rust?
Also, can you buy the rubber feet things that go on the rim of the base? (They look like 5" long pieces of pipe) or can I use something else?
Cheers

It depends how handy you are really. I would get a wire brush for your drill, or grinder and remove all the rust. Then use Hammerite Smooth paint spray and it will come up a treat.
Not sure about the feet idea, without seeing a pic.
Thanks,
Paul

Go to the sceapyard and pull the plastic/rubber from round the window/door of an old van. Not all vehicles will have the right stuff but you will find it on most of them. Just cut it into strips.

Hi All.
or another suggestion is to rub the paint down and then spray it with prima and then black metal paint spray (car paint).
Doing it like this will make them look as good as new... I hope this helps?

Re: Cleaning up clenport stands
Cheers guys, I'll try Pauls way first as I've only got 1 to do and buying just 1 can of spray sounds good.
Hopefully if I can get the rust removed then I won't need the feet.
I've got an important install to do and getting rust in their carpet would be a nightmare!
