B & Q Sites
I have heard from a few customers today that B & Q have requested all towers to be removed from site.
Does anyone know what may have sparked this off? To my knowledge the majority of B & Q stores have a tower on site and this is going to affect a lot of operators.

Re: B & Q Sites
I've done a bit of digging today and it appears an email has gone round to all stores requesting removal ASAP. I have contacted HO and am awaiting their reply.popp665 wrote:Im pleased to say that i have secured the contact to supply all b and qs with towers. There has got to be a reason and something has sparked this off. Towers have been in B & Q's for as long as I can remember. I am sure whatever the reason all will be revealed in time.

Re: B & Q Sites
My local B & Q has a tubz vending tower Unfortunetly and even though Barbara got me in there I walked away but did notice they had charity boxes on all 8 tills as well as a snack and separate can machine in the foyer.
Didn't have the ba5tard screws I wanted though!
A national deal with independent operators is great until you get one idiot letting you all down!

Maybe it's when the Managers read the emails and act upon them. I have spoken to a few customers today who also have not heard anything yet, whilst others have had the call. Big shame for the operators.

Yes I will let you know.
B & Q sites are generally brilliant sites, two weekly visits for many, monthly for others. Wickes are not as good but still worthwhile if you can get them.

Re: B & Q Sites
I got a text message this morning to remove a B&Q machine before end of month - will remove it this weekend, it was not a brilliant site as machine was only allowed in staff room therefore was a bi-monthly service.
About a month ago I noticed I had competition from a snack box [fancy vending machine] so to be honest, going on sales not too down-hearted about removing machine.
Seems as though this is a national thing so will be interesting to see what the under-lying problem is!
Hope it is not another national contract otherwise we are all going to suffer with lost business one way or the other, not a good day for those who have several B & Q sites especially if they have lost the pub contract sites as well.
