Hello all,
Anyone know how to go about updating the firmware on a Vendo 189 please?
Need to get it updated so that it will work with a Credit card reader.
Also need to get some necta Snakky's updated too!
Thanks
James

Who said firmware needs updating ?
vendo spares are all processed from a vending company in Basingstoke I think. Cant remember the name of them though.

I would recommend speaking to coin solutions if you haven't already, tell them what you want to do. I don't see why you would need to reprogram as the credit card module is just a gateway which sends out a signal similar to a coin mech ie an electronic pulse?

Re: Vendo 189 Firmware update
Oh, it does work as in accepts cards for payment, but as soon as someone makes a cash purchase the nayax card reader goes to "cash only" until I go there and open the machine door to reset it
I'm was thinking about replacing the machine in the near future with something a bit more modern anyway, so this latest issue may just speed up the decision, I can't afford to miss card sales, I've already noticed a drop in takings at the site because of it.
Cheers for your help anyway :)

Re: Vendo 189 Firmware update
Well that's what they (Nayax) said at first and to be fair to them they sent out a replacement unit, but it did exactly the same
