I've been looking to add a note validator to my Crane Refreshment 2 vending machine and have found a few on eBay but not sure if these will fit vending or just gaming machines?
The one below accepts polymer but runs on DES - do I need an MDB unit?

had quick look don't think compatible yes you need mdb protocol.
