What is the problem with the machine or what do you need to know how to do?

Re: Darenth auto 1066 VIP
Hi Matt,
I was wondering how I would get to the boiler or empty it? At the moment there are bits of scale in the cold water, and the machine doesn't dispense hot water. I was hoping to drain the machine and refill it to see if there's any change. I guess I also have to change the water filter?
Thanks,
Ryan

The tanks I think do come apart but you will need a tank repair/reseal kit to put back together if you split them. Is it a plastic tank?
If it is passing the limescale keep flushing until clears or try a cleaning /descaling agent overnight preferably pumping around the system if you can.
If the waters not heating up the thermal cut out will have tripped, probably been turned on with no water in.
I think its on the inlet to the water tank by memory, if you cant find it take a picture of the machine back when opened and will show you where it is, you just push it in again to reset.
Regards
Matt

Oh and water filters don't stop limescale, nothing does. They are just carbon filters for better water purity, change once a year if you wish.

Hi Matt,
Thank you for the help, it's really appreciated! I took the back off today and it is a plastic boiler. I drained the boiler and have tried to fill it back up, do I do this just by plugging the bung and pressing the water button on the front of the machine?
I'll buy some solution for descaling the machine now. Does it need to go in anywhere specific? I have attached a photo of the back of the machine, will attach another of the boiler in my next message.
Thanks again for the advice,
Ryan

Yes just fill it up again with water button on the front, put it to free vend if it has timed water dispense switched on .
Put some de scaler in tank then run it through and leave overnight , repeat as necessary.
That reset switch is either in top
Of the tank where temp pipe is it's about 3mm push in button or where that red wire is in picture but I'm 90% sure it's on top . It will have a live wire going into it then going to the heating element wire on boiler.
Let me know how you get on

Hi Matt,
Had a bit of a potch with the machine these past few days and still can't get it to heat. I think I found the button, it was a little plastic cross above the boiler, but it was already pressed in. The hot water light is out on the front of the machine, as is the sugar button, but the cold water button is on allowing us to get cold water out of the machine. That's my only means of filling the boiler at present. I pressed that button and filled cups until the tank at the back wouldn't fill higher.
Should the boiler isolation switch be on or off? Would the fact that the machine has no cups in make any difference?

Boiler switch should be on and yes you need cups in as it will shut down boiler if empty
