Re: Best bank deal
Hi Matt,
Does it not take ages when you go to pay the cash into the bank account. I bank with NatWest and pay in 5k coins each time I go, they give me the purple bags and just average weigh each bag, I can’t see the post office doing this! I can imagine them weighing each individual bag and can imagine would **** them off at the same time every time you go?

Re: Best bank deal
I have used the Post Office for some years to do my banking. I use the same office each time, they have the weights written down and I bank £500 x £1 coins and loose no issues.
I have been to different Post Offices and some smaller places refuse to bank the cash as they say they are a sub branch and can't store the cash. Another insisted I rip open the larger outer bags and weigh each coin bag individually. Suffice to say I have never returned there!

Re: Best bank deal
Is the £500 a hard limit?
I currently use starling, and they also have a £500 limit but I regularly deposit far more at the PO.
