Why not use this section. Suppliers will be able to see and it could help achieve better prices for some that are currently paying higher prices.

everyone gets charged different prices, thats nothing new. some people's prices are lower because they are subsidised by other people paying more.
if you post publicly online that you get a better price and then everyone clamours to get that price, in the end you (and everyone else who gets lower prices) will pay more.

also, in defence of the suppliers charging different prices we've got to bear in mind that some customers are more work for the suppliers than others.

For example in tower vending if you are a panicked Vending Revolution ex-customer calling up hurleys because you ran out of stock or a tubz vending franchisee making regular calls for advice but not buying any stock then you should expect to be charged more by those companies for the extra work they have to do.

and if you're only making a small order then the cost of the supplier's time has to be spread over a smaller number of boxes, so it will be more expensive.

That doesnt wash with me = they charge carriage accordingly and surely have boxes of stock on the shelf ready to go. I do accept that larger customers can fight for better prices but it doesn't cost any more to send out!

Totally agree. Suppliers should charge the same price for all regardless of who buys what quantities. Their labour / overheads do not increase / decrease depending on who they are packing for.

You are talking absolute nonsense btw.
Anybody who buys a quantity of stock is entitled to a quantity discount and if they dont chase it, then bigger fool them.
The whole of business and retailing only works because of this, only an idiot would believe otherwise!
If there was no price advantage to buying bigger quantities then places like Makros and Bookers wouldnt exist.
All the smaller users would simply buy there items direct from the manufacturers, and seriously, do you see this happening?
of course not!

Your not reading whats above, the point made was it DOESNT cost anymore to sell small amounts or large amounts, I fully accept that larger customers get better discounts!

yes but it DOES cost more because, for example, tubz vending employ a sales team/"account managers" and they need to be paid. if one of their guys spends an hour chasing a sale for 10 boxes then the cost per box of his time is more than if the guy gets an order for a pallet of 90 boxes...the packing might not cost any more, but its those kind of costs which mean that bigger orders get better prices.

if you can persuade any supplier otherwise please let me know.

Why not put a call in to Mars and say "i'd like to order one mars bar and a twix please and would you mind sending it next day delivery, and please could I have it for the same price as Makros get it, after all it hasn't cost you any more to make it"

are you for real?
of course it costs more, in real terms!
I accept that the cost of the product is the same for big or small orders but the same amount of admin time and materials are used whether its one box or 100 boxes.
Stupid things like account mgr time on phone, printer ink and paper for invoice.
warehouse time and ensuring goods are correctly addressed and booked with the courier.
Think about it,for it is exactly the same thought process for us operators!
Would you rather have 100 towers spread over 100 different sites or 10 sites with 10 towers in each site.
Anyone with half a brain would take the latter senario
Its called economies of scale.

Timewasters demanding lowest costs even for small quantities, etc, thats why Sweetfix went out of business. There's nothing wrong with paying a little more for smaller order quantities and/or if you are paying by credit card. This is because it costs more to process, I'm with the suppliers on this point. If you're paying cash or bank transfer upfront for pallett quantities you will get the best prices, no matter who you are.
