Empty Plastic Tubs

Does anyone know who actually produces the empty plastic tubs & lids, I have tried Googling but cannot find a link.

The current price from the supplier for these tubs seems to be high for what they are.

maquinas kit maquinas make the ones you get from midland vending. But obviously you have to buy a truck load at a time, and pay for transport costs (portugal), and add vat, and mike has to make a living from it.
Most of these firms only deal with very large orders, so even if you found one in this country, they would only sell by the pallet at least. Not sure about tubz vending but I know Hurley's will always do you a deal if your willing to buy a pallet full!

they cost 4.5 euro cents each. You have to buy 10500. At current exchange rates about 4p. To ship one pallet costs £275 so roughly 3p a pot. Two pallets £500, Three pallets £600 etc
If you are not vat registered you have to pay vat, so 7.5p plus vat = 9p unless you can afford to buy 5 pallets at a time hardly worth it.

Don't the ones from tubz vending have a massive dimple in the bottom? I would assume the Rolo/Toblerone/Fruit pastiles look a bit silly sat on that massive dimple (that's there to make the loose sweets look fuller). If I were a customer I would think it a bit of a cheek, it would be like buying a bottle of coke only to find the first 10% of the bottle is hollow and the last 30% is covered by the sticker!

Only my opinion but I don't think tubz vending do the industry's image any favours with their pots! :nono:

That is daft...and sounds like you're attacking tubz vending for no reason. there are plenty of other negative things you could say about tubz vending, i wouldn't complain about their dimples. besides the rolos/pastilles/toblerones actually fit quite nicely around the edges of the dimple. the tubz vending pots are also a little short and cause more jams but that is a different problem...

if you want to fill your pots to the top and hope that you make money then good luck to you. A flat pot with no stickers completely full of skittles is going to ruin your margins. People don't use vending towers because they want value for money... that's what the pound shop is for!

I have lost some sites because of repeat complaints about the dimples in the tubz vending but losing those sales is preferable to paying any more to fill my pots to the top. i would recommend using some products like bonbons and moam chews/strips that look full. apart from the upfront cost of machines your biggest single cost is the stock and the suppliers know that one way or another they have to keep that cost down to get our business.

jams are the simplest quickest way to lose a site. Skittles and maybe raisins are the only lines that need a wraparound label really to hide a low fill. self packers should be able to get the rest of the lines in the machine at under 35p.

btw pringles on offer at £3.30 at my local food service.

tubz vending lids often depress inwards with heavy pots like Skittles when you load them in the tower. This causes jams. Others do not do this, due to firmly fitted lid.

see that hurleys have not put theirs up to £35 + VAT a box of 400 = 10.5p per pot net
