Re: Ex Salysol towers
salysol tends to be used as a generic name a bit like hoover but as far as i know they never made machines. There are four main companies. Clenport, normally key 915 on the top is a giveaway, Laiv, tend to be hexagonal, snacktower (dutch but from china), normally with a camlock on top, and chinese similar to snacktower.
Best way is to ask key number

Thanks Glen,
These machines have salysol on the side, but have flat coin mechs like the ones I got from tubz vending. He is saying they are Clenportes, but I am doubting it, because he has stated the last one received was from tubz vending and its has the identical flat mech that the others have. The Clenportes that I have, all have the mech with a rounded bit on the front.
He wants £550 for 6 with stands. I have offered him £420.
What do you think.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Ex Salysol towers
what are the key numbers ? Kris might be able to confirm but tubz vending have for a few years used snacktower machines (dutch/chinese ones). MOst of the salysol ones out there are from nutvending/bluestar/virgo sourced.

if its the ebay ones in spalding the lids and stands suggest they are clenports, need a closer look at the locks but from a distance the red arrows stickers look like the clenport ones.
I believe the clenport stickers have a blue square in the middle whilst others have a pair of hands.

Don't forget that Hurleys used to be Salysol GB, so there's a misconception when people mention Salysol that they mean Salysol GB who sold Clenport machines.

Hi Guys,
Yes it is those in Spalding. He has e-mailed me- wants minimum of £500. Had quite a few problems with the copies sold by tubz vending recently, so am trying to steer away from them, unless they are cheap.

Salysol only sell Clenports, won't touch copies.

Also Clenport (M81) machines tend to have plastic barrels and not metal.
