Help Help Help

Post by Snackmore »

Got a problem with a Clenport Pringles tower. The site said that it had jammed a pot which we put down to the person using the machine incorrectly however it then jammed again on the next vend. I have stripped the rings down and the metal barrel appears to be sticking and chaffing somehow so that when it is turned a pot drops into the barrel but then as it is sticking another pot tries to drop into the hole thus causing a jam. Luckily I had a spare tower so the site are happy but I am not confident at stripping the tower down without some pointers as to what to do and what not to do. Its a decent tower with little use so I dont want to end up scrapping it.

As always all advice appreciated

Hi,
I presume you have the machine back at base.

Remove all rings and the coin mech. To do this you will have to release the lugs either side of the mech, from the coin drawer opening. Turn the barrel and inspect both the bit that turns and the bit that remains part of the machine. Look up through the product tube and feel around. I suspect it is either that the barrel has broken, or if not, it just needs greasing.

Thanks,

Paul

Check the outer part of the barrel, ie the part that moves. It could be a slight bit oblond shaped as opposed to perfectly round. This would all a Pringle to drop in too far and leave room for a second to slightly drop in on top. You can adjust them a tiny bit but not much as they are made of cast and break easily. If its a plastic barrel you can't adjust them at all.
