Anyway of locking towers
Hi,
Real silly question this. One of my sites a riding school has events every Sunday and during the events outside caterers in burger vans etc..come onto site and they deal with all the catering some of these also sell chocolate and bagged sweets.
for obvious reasons my customer doesn't want my machine to do any vending on a Sunday and has asked me for suitable way of showing the machine is out of order. Granted a printout saying "out of order" will do but she has asked for some alternatives or perhaps a way to lock the mechanism - perhaps something i can put in the coin slot ???
Any ideas ?
Cheers
Paul

Weld a trolley token to piece of metal sheet. Attach sign to metal sheet, insert coin and sheet in slot - job done

Won't putting something in the coin slot just give too many people the idea of how to fiddle the machine on the other 6 days. Couldn't she just remove it from the area altogether and put it back after. OR as Brian says , a bin liner.

I was thinking the same. Seeing a trolly token in there just gives ideas.Vendingwarehouse wrote:Won't putting something in the coin slot just give too many people the idea of how to fiddle the machine on the other 6 days. Having something odd looking in it will just attract attention to have a play.
I think the bin liner was the best suggestion.

Re: Anyway of locking towers
Cheers all good ideas. Its in a corridor leading to an arena they use for teaching so they couldn't really move it, a bag is a nice simple Idea my other half also suggested the box the machine come in.
Thanks again i can go back to her and offer some ideas.

I would tell them in plain english, no, it can't be done. Let the people choose. If the client wants to move it or cover it for the day thats upto them.

Re: Anyway of locking towers
Pete, she has obviously already made up her mind that she doesn't want it vending on show days. Possibly from a bit of pressure from the caterers. So adopting the hardball approach will only result in loosing the site.
