Hi,
Had my first jammed coin today, not bad 550 vends across all machines to date and its my first one.
Had a bloody nightmare fighting with the machine at the customer site so i brought it home and dismantled it on the kitchen table.
I know bad idea but i had to learn somehow. lots of messing about and i finally googled it and guess where it took me. Rossi Fan your tips and guide worked a treat.
In thanks I have created a short guide with pictures that I will publish on my website but for now I have them on facebook with some basic instructions of what to do.
Dead easy 5 minute fix.

You dont have to be a friend or anything to view I left it open.
Thanks
Paul

by the way, when putting the coin mech back in, turn the machine upside down. Goes in ten times easier.

Not heard that one , but as it brings the barrel to the top, witout the need to hold it in place from underneath, I can see it working well.
Thanks,
Paul
Paul,
From the facebook pics, it looks like you had an ovesized coin. You can open up the coin carrier a mm or so with a round dremmel type flat bottomed grinding wheel, but dont take much off.
Thanks,
Paul

Cheers Paul,
When you say coin carrier to you mean the bit its stuck in ?
It would have been easier upside down Glen as it did turn around a few times. Probably not practical with the stand attached but on a bench/worktop or bar it sounds good.
Thanks Both
Cheers

Yes, the half circle that the coin is slotted into. If the coin is a little oversized, or fake, customers jam it into the carrier and it will not eject as a normal one will. If you just open the carrier up so it just takes the oversized coin, without it sticking, you will be fine. If you open it too much, the spring pin arm will drop in at the site of the coin and it will not vend at all.
Thanks,
Paul

The advice is always free, but if you are in my neck of the woods anytime, ( Sunny Scunthorpe), I will be delighted to take you for a pint.
You are quite lucky to have found the forum quite early. It found me when I advertised for sites on e-bay and the mods contacted me. All the members on here have been very helpful to me and I like to think that I can return their generosity by offering help if I can.
Regards,
Paul

I agree, very lucky to find this forum, I have been looking to get into vending for a while. Initially wash room vending or breathalyzers. In the end i choose sweets which up to now is working out pretty well.

Excellent informative thread, good work, wish I had seen this prior to wrecking one of my towers!
