I visited a golf club last December on a cold call and although the steward had a sweet tower there he was not impressed. I had been left there months before and was half empty. The 'owner' had never been back although there was a hand written phone number on the back of the tower. I told the guy what I did and offered a Pringles machine. He told me he may be interested in the Spring and to come back.

I went back 2 weeks ago and fitted a Pringles tower, the sweet tower was still there and nearly empty now. Still no visit from the vendor!

The steward said that he would ring the guy to get rid as he was fed up with it adding that he had purchased most of the sweets.

I popped in this week to check all was OK (I have another site with a big vending machine and 2 towers 2 00yds away) and the steward told me that the guy had come to collect his machine, was not happy that he had a Pringle machine and said that he could have supplied one. He then went to take his tower to his car and the steward said 'dont forget my commision'

Guess what he drove off without paying out anything.

So if its you and you are on this forum learn from it. Service is King and dont steal commision it gives us all a bad name. You do not deserve to be in business and I am glad you lost the site.

I never poached it and never offered a sweet tower but I blooming will now

Hi Steve,
This is the sort of behavour you will often see from ppl playing at vending. I have seen similar situations on my patch. He is likely to be doing it on the side and not registered etc. I doubt he is on here, but if he is, he does need a kick up the ****.

Whoever it was had self fill pots with no labels and nothing on the outside of the machine other than as above a hand written label with a mobile number on.

Very unprofessional and gives us all a bad name

I got kicked out of a site a few months ago(not a Marston) due to perform marketing.
They have put 2 towers in and not been back yet to fill them up yet.
Both have been empty for a month now.

I was filling machine every 2 weeks always did 50/60 pots.
Glad to see they are doing what everyone expected.

They only put the same 4 products in both machines aswell.eggs/cola/jelly mix/pencils.

Really annoys me that I lose a really good site a mile from my house and they end up messing it up.

Personally,I have no issues with Perform, but if they do not provide the same level of service as a local operator, then they should be either upping their game, or giving towers a wide berth. Not selling the products that customers want is bad for a start- leaving them until they are empty is also bad practice. One of my sites has one of their towers and a selection of toy machines supplied by them, but the landlord stated this week that their staff come and cash up, but dont give him any documents to state what has been sold.- He is therefore suspicious.

Your right Paul,

If that is the way that they manage their sites, they will lose money, they will also lose customers. If this is the case my prediction is that they will drop towers and concerntrate on other lines which are easier to service. Otherwise they risk loosing a contract becaue one line is letting them down.
