Re: Problem Mech
Hey ,
im pretty new to vending , and something similar happened one of my machines last week , and then again this week ! .
i bought the machine ( clenport ) refurbished , and was assured that they were all fully tested before shipped out , but in less than 30 vends the little silver thing popped out and gave out free vends , not great when you are just starting up .
so after a lot of googleing and fiddling at the back of the coin mech to find the little leaver to get it to pop out , i finally after much arm scraping , and cursing at myself for putting in soo much wd40 , got the mech out , and the little silver arm was in the bottom of the machine .
so i put it back in again , tested it , and it worked .
then 20 vends later its out again , and another machine jammed !!!!!! . ive had these machines 2 weeks , and thats twice the silver arm has popped out of 1 mech and now another mech jammed .
should refurbed machines that have supposedly been tested be doing this ?? , and is there a way of stopping this from happening ? , or to make the mech function better . or should i get new mechs ?
all help is really appreciated
thanks

Re: Problem Mech
now suppliers are calling these machines "refurbished". previously they were calling them "re-conned" machines, which they told customers means "re-conditioned" but what really means is "con the customer again"...

Re: Problem Mech
I think when they say reconditioned it means replacing broken segments and any visable/defective parts, you can't really expect these companies to test vend say 50 times each one as the machine cost would rise intermittent probs are a pain I the **** with any equipment. Prob best to message the company and ask for a replacement mech as they only cost a few quid.
Reconditioned machines should still have some form if guarantee

Re: Problem Mech
firstly make sure the retaining spring (small metal strip) holding the lever in place isnt putting too much tension on the lever, otherwise it will pop out time and time again, if its tensioned to much, take spring out and bend it back slightly, keep doing it so it just sits their with a little bit of tension on lever, so it does its job. some put a small washer where lever sits in the mech and then screw the backplate back on, but if you get tension right on spring it will be fine.

i think the previous owner may have done this , as when i opened the coin mech and and took the back plate off it is slightly warped / bent , so it looks like something has been in there before and tightened too tight .
do you have a pic of where you mean to put the washer so i can see if its the same .
and COG , yeah im in the process of contacting the seller .
thanks for all your help folks , this is a great forum .
i ran a mazda / toyota forum for a while , so if anybody is stuck for help / service tips for any old japanese sports cars give me a shout !
