Sandwiches

Any of you vend sandwiches? Just quoting for 5 machines and site currently has rolls and sandwiches in a Starvend machine. I have no experience but phoned a supplier up in Leeds and was surprised that basic sandwiches were 92 p each, they are being sold for £1.35 currently so with wastage it hardly seems worth it, also the hassle of having to go 2/3 times a week.

Any experiences or tips?

Yes I do them, and to be honest it's not worth it if you can get away without doing it. Maybe best to try and find someone who will do the sandwiches for you and you do the confectionary side. Where is the site?

Hopefully where your mate at Lincoln is going, in a Prison!

They want 2 cold drinks machines, one for staff one for visitors, a snack machine, a sandwich machine and for me to maintain their Fusion coffee machine, all machines used by staff only excluding the one drinks machine. They are asking for a sandwich machine as they have one currently and it does sell a few (no idea how many though. As they are in the prison its easy for staff as its a right pain for them to get in and out. Pain for me getting in though and restrictive times also so could do without the sarnies which would reduce my visits to once/twice a week maximum

We could supply you samdwiches and they have a 4 day life . But obviously you gotta be there every 4 days without fail, worth doing the prisons very lucrative especially if you can get visitors part give me a call

If it were me I would buy some plastic sandwich cartons from Booker and get the misses to do them!!!
Nice bit of corned beef should do it

Have considered that Mark but you need to be inspected and have hygiene cert etc.

Added to that she is a rather good chef and would pack a tin of corned beef in each sandwich leaving no room for pickle

You're a brave man....comitting to service a machine every 4 days....that takes some doing! I'm not one for taking holidays myself but I do go away occasionally for more than 4 days! Went dawn to Hayling Island for a week last year, then took half a day to do my Southampton sites! Lol.

Your right and I have considered this, can always rely on family for support. We always go away at least 3 times a year for a week so would need cover.

Makes me sound rich........................ we go to my mother in laws in Cornwall!
