I have invested in some telemetry for one of my large vending machines at a busy hotel site which is some distance away.

Several reasons why

Obviously the distance to travel to restock and cash up
It advises me if any faults or power off coin mech jammed etc
It tells me amount of items sold (not specific items) how much cash taken on a given date/over a period
It tells me at what time purchases are made etc

I have looked into this previously but considered the cost prohibitive however I have invested in Datavend as the cost is only 90 euros (£73) a device with a yearly cost of 30 euros (£25) which in the grand scheme of things is peanuts.

I good basic telemetry system which keeps you up to date with the machine status and cash. There are more advanced systems out there but I have been quoted over £20 a month service costs.

You basically plug the device into the coin mech (MDB/EXEC) and zero it on each visit. You then log on remotely to view status and amount spent etc. The software is easy to use.
