Pringles Vending Machine Barrel problem
Bought my first pringles machine a few days ago.
It has a problem where the coin mech doesn't turn the barrel. I tried just slotting it in but had no luck. How do I go about fixing it? Do I need to strip the machine down.
PS Pringles are on offer in Markro for 4.19 + vat for 12.

Re: Pringles Vending Machine Barrel problem
If the back of the coin mech ls locating in the barrel and just spinning you have been sold a dud and need a new barrel. If its not locating properly there are two catches reached from inside where the cash box goes that will release a cover on the front (assuming modern machine) you can then re locate mech by slotting straight in.

Re: Pringles Vending Machine Barrel problem
Thanks for the quick reply.
It's in my lock up but will check tomorrow. The machine looks like this one http://www.coinoperatedgroup.com/images ... 0tower.JPG
I couldn't see the catches on the coin mech but I was looking from the top as it had a plastic bit above the coin mech that comes out. Will try sticking my arm in tomorrow.
Where can I get a new barrel from if I need one?

Rockvend best for spare parts. If it has the cover on the front there are def two sliding catches that bolt it in place.

Re: Pringles Vending Machine Barrel problem
The plastic bit on the front should only come out if the two plastic lugs (working with your hand inside the machine) are pulled back (away from the mech)
If it just pulls out then the plastic lugs are broken on the pull out bit and the punters will be able to get free vends.
Sometimes the coin mech does not sit right in the barrel and that may be misaligned. Once you pull the two lugs back on the inside (one each side of the drop chute) then remove the plastic front cover and you should be able to remove the coin mech and then see if it sits back in etc

pringles were inlast night, might be left over from a previous makro mail offer - ready salted, purple ones and cheese.
