£1 coin plate for Beaver for New & Old coins
We've cracked it. After weeks of precision engineering we've adapted the current £1 beaver coin plate to suit both the new £1 coin as well as the £1 coin. So NO LOSS in revenues for the 6 months it takes to change the coins over. You can see our video here https://youtu.be/MSbn54gOUhI . If you have Beaver machines we can supply you with re-worked plates to suit the £1 mechanisms subject to quantity (you'll have to send your old £1 coin plates to us, once we've shipped our your new coin plates). Yes our plates are more expensive than Beaver Direct at the moment but we have to mill each plate individually rather than casting 1000's at a time, however the Beaver plates can only be used for new £1 coins NOT for both. Our dual £1 coin plates could save you 100's of pounds if not 1000's over the 6 month period depending on how popular your machines are over. If the customer only has a new £1 coin in their pocket and you have an old coin mechanism then you've lost the sale and visa versa.

Cost? Bearing in mind most new plates have been in the £5-10 bracket.

Did you find out the costs Gavin?
What's the latest on the Beaver mechs? So far I can only buy the new plates to accept the new pound coin only! If this is the case when do you all plan on changing over your Beaver mechs? I have quite a few 3L Mini toy machines with Beaver mechanisms

no sorry as i done them on site, well in van, trick is to grind left and right side of coin plate just big enough for new pound but be careful of the 2 pins at sides where pound rests on only lightly grind them, then with a small manual file file away where pound coin goes through first entry as new pound stands higher.
