Does anyone have any experience or know anything about converting a standard tower mech to vend with £2 or £3?
I'm sure its possible for £2 but can someone confirm how it works. I'm guessing two slots for 2x£1 coin, it that right? and do I simply change to coin plate to do this?
I guessing £3 may not be possible with a standard mech
Any help or pointers on this subject would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks, Jay.

Hi Jay, ....... instead of converting the mech you could simply divide the product between 2 or 3 pots, and sell them for £1 each :)

You've cracked it Mark We can now sell almost anything in a tower ...well anything up to the value of £81 and with tiny component parts that is, but still!

£2 Mechs are available from Laiv(Spain) and from Clenport (portugal). They have two coin slots - one in the 2 o'clock, the other in the 10 o'clock positions. Insert both coins turn handle to vend as normal. tubz vending also do a £2 mech. Their mech has a single slot - insert coin, turn handle 180 degrees and insert 2nd coin and turn 180 to vend.

Re: £2 or £3 tower mech
Cheers Pete,
I spoke with Hurleys. Paul said a single slot £2 coin plate is available for the standard clenport mechs (so cost of a coin plate). The 2 x £1 at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock seem to be an entirely new mech (so this option would be much more expensive). Interestingly enough he said you could also get a 3 slot mech for 3x£1 or 3x£2 (again an entirely new mech though).
I wonder how many pots of sweets i'd sell if I stuck a £6 mech on a machine
Jay.

Hi Jay
I don't think there is an easy solution to converting the current £1 coin mech to accept a £2 coin by yourself for a reliable vend. You will be better off buying one which has been precision engineered from the manufacturers.

£2 coins are not very common yet. If you want sales Go for 2 x £1. If you want profit go for 3 x £1!
