Cash & Carry Compare Prices

Thinking about creating a website that compares all the prices of stock.
It will work by regularly updating the prices from each cash and carry in your local area.
This obviously applies to the smaller vending companies (and newsage agents) who don't get stock delivered.
I'm also going to encorporate a mobile app so you can log in and scan any products
for example scan the barcode on a crate of coke and it will
list all the local places and prices for this item.
In Glasgow there is no sites for this, and similarly the cash and Carrys don't advertise their prices
on their website. I don't know what it's like in England but we don't have this up here.

What do you guys think?

Good idea, at the moment I have to wait for mail shots from the three cash and carrys I use and shop accordingly. Sounds like a lot of work though and presume that you would need buy in from the C & C's. If was considered commercially viable would one of the supermarket comparison sites have not already done it?

Doers sound like a good idea, but cash & carrys dont always give out prices apart from their special offers.

Also most vending companies get different deals dependant on quantities bought.

Sounds great keep us posted i would imagine it would get a lot of traffic when word gets around
