Pub pool table average takings

Had a pub today asking if I can put in a pool/SNOKKER TABLE with the red and yellow balls. For an average size pub. What is the average takings and best make. I have seen some on ebay and they are roughly 500

It would depend massively on the pub. If it was a very busy pub in a nice enough area you could probably charge a £1 a go, and make £50 a week. In a not so busy pub on a scratty council estate, you would get 40p a game and make £10 a week.

You also need to be aware that the piece of slate for the top on a full size pool table will weigh 1/4 of a ton, you will need more than the missus and a sack barrow!!

That said they are relatively straight forward once their in, and you will only need to empty it a few times a year.

Dont forget cost of recovering table, buying queues and also replacement balls, especially the white which will probably go missing quite regularly.

Its an enterprise pub so my concern is i end up with a pool tabls to store as they tend to tie new tennants by lease.

Is there adifferent type of bed rather than slate which will be easirer to lift. The table at the minute the landlady is paying a fee to have it in. She is getting robbed. What is the usual commusion split for a table? 50/50?

If she's willing to tell you how much she makes in commission and how much she pays as a rental, you can work out roughly how much it takes. 50/50 is fine for places that are really popular sites, but if it's only taking £15 a week you probably don't want to offer it without a rental charge.

With regards to the cue's and balls, you just supply a couple of cheap cue's and 2 sets of balls. Anything that gets lost or broken either gets replaced by the pub, or taken out of their commission before it's handed over. Most dodgy pubs keep the cue's behind the bar and take a deposit for them to stop it happening.
