Help the Heroes site finding

Post by kris@tubzbrandsltd »

I had been asked by a few of my independent operators if we would consider site finding under the 'help for heroes' banner. I asked Simon if it would be possible so he contacted H4H to see what would be required.

We have now been informed that H4H are happy for individuals to approach them if they already have existing sites that are not really interested in the commission and are happy to have it donated on their behalf. In this case they are happy for a H4H sticker to be attached to that individual site. :rules:

The are not willing to allow companies to site find for their customers using the H4H charity as a pitch or a way to further their business! The reasons they gave were that we the really did not want to get involved in any corporate sales. also they would not be donating anything from their charge for the site finding service to H4H and how would they be sure if the site finding is being pitched to the prospective outlets correctly? So you can see their point!

I think it is also worth mentioning that we have had Trading standards contact us on a few occasions where people using tubz vending products in machines and telling the sites the commission is going to charity. Trading standards require any products or services using a charity for marketing purposes to have information clearly displayed so that the end customer knows how much from their purchase is actually going to charity and details so they can check if they so wish. :rules:

This is why we have found that it is always better to approached the site and suggested to them that they can donate their commission to a charity of their choice. That way it is up to them to inform the customers how much and where the charity payments are going.

I would disagree with you Kris, I believe approaching the site and mentioning h4h is a brilliant way of getting in some sites.

Not too happy with this post either.

i may be talking out of line here but why are you at tubz vending getting so involved with something that had nothing to do with you in the first place?

just let ppl do what they want to do, was there any need to your leadrer to get involved? if customers have asked you to site find wouldnt it have been comon curtisy for you to contact the ppl that sorted the deal out..

maybe you should be so post happy with all of this, take a back seat and see what others are saying first..

not having a real go here but a bit of thought wouldnt go amiss.

ME..........Irish
GIFT........Always feels the need to tell the truth

Kris, Simon, or whoever wrote this post and whoever thought it was a good idea to stick their nose into this H2H idea when it had nothing to do with them needs a kick up the ****. You DO NOT have to have a finger in everything vending. Try understanding that there are equally intelligent and proactive people out there who can run with their own ideas without your input . This was no better than trying to poach an idea or poach a site . You clearly have no understanding of how to treat your customers. You have a FREE platform here to access 100's of potential customers here and you pull a stunt like this . I think having a poll on here to assess peoples reactions to ALL suppliers would be a good idea.

The H4H idea is a winner for all concerned and channels money to a very worthwhile cause. I have personally raised hundreds of pounds in my other business for H4H.
We now have the large Help For Heroes stickers, endorsed by H4H available. They are designed to go on the outside of the machine. We will only sell them to vendors who have registered with H4H and can give their registration number when requesting the stickers.10p from every sticker bought will go to H4H.

hi guys,

I am not saying that H4H is a bad thing, I actually think it is a brilliant idea, maybe my post has been taken out of context. Sorry if this is the case.

I have had operators asking if we can promote this with our site finding service, and we need to find out if this was something we could look at going ahead with, we needed to make sure that we knew all the terms & conditions before looking at going ahead with this.

They have stated that they have not got a issue with individual operators wishing to do this registering with themselves but companies / people should not use H4H as a sales pitch when site finding.

hi matt,

This is only what we were told by corporate @ H4H mate, surely its better that people are aware of the way that H4H want this conducted.

The last thing operators need is... a operator to do it the wrong way and the facility being withdrawn altogether.
