Delivery packages is a bit easier, its a flat rate over the whole of mainland UK except for the Scottish Highlands. Pallets are more difficult. We fare quite well on pallets as we are located quite centrally. We can get 66 boxes to most place for £28. Sending up to 30kg by parcel is £10. Its so much more efficient sending pallets!

i guess 1 box of stock = 75g (60g net) x 96 plus weight of box = about 7kg so 4 boxes = £10 so youre right pallet price is much better. note to self - go and screw down pallet guy more. lol

Hi all,
We at tubz vending Brands have used many different courier companies over the years. The feed back we got from our customers was that they do not mind paying a little more if the order arrives all at the same time and in good condition each time.
Our pallet and box delivery service is always on a NEXT DAY delivery, not 2-3 days economy. Most other courier companies cannot guarantee that they can delivery all the boxes on your order at the same time, where with the company we use can do this.
If our customers want us to quote them on a cheaper courier service them we will be happy to do so.

That's a load of bull. Basically what you are saying Kris is that having all your boxes delivered at the same time and in good condition is a PREMIUM service and that boxes delivered at different times and not neccessarily in good condition is the norm. And that if customers want them at the same time and in good nick then they have to pay more. And that if they want cheaper prices they have to be prepared for a sub standard service. What planet are you on?????

All I am saying is that we have tried many different courier services and the feedback from our customers is they are happy to pay a little (a few pounds) more for a better service!
At the end of the day if deliveries come in at different times or slightly damaged then it just costs more wasted time, money and headache to the operator.
We know that other companies can offer a slightly cheaper service but it is not always like for like i.e. next day. Most of the cheaper services do not guarantee next day or all of the items on you order arriving at the same time.
If our customers just want it as cheap as possible then we are more than happy to look at any courier service that they recommend and see if they can offer a better price.

ALL couriers charge extra for next day delivery - whether that be UKMail, UPS, etc
NO couriers charge extra for guaranteeing parcels arrive safely - its their job ffs!!!!
Can I just verify whether you have changed your policy on refunding costs for deliveries arriving at incorrect addresses?
At a time when admittedly things were going wrong at tubz vending - I had to spend 4 hours travelling and returning to meet Glenn for stock that got sent to the wrong address. We do have the same initial G for out first names and being brothers share the same surname, but it cant be that confusing - can it? Frank advised me that it was not your fault and the fault of the courier. For me that was the last straw in a long period of dissatisfaction, from missing boxes, mistruths from sales staff, shifting prices, weekly sales calls etc I was out of pocket and lost valuable time in the Summer season.
I bore the brunt, tubz vending had their cash. Can you see why I am hacked off?

I take your point that no couriers charge extra for parcels arriving safely but as we have found some companies are better than others at doing so.
Also Many of the courier companies will NOT guarantee all the parcels on one order being delivered at the same time.
With regards to policy on delivery refunds it has always been the same and if there is a mistake made by tubz vending or the courier we will always credit the delivery charge or send out replacement stock (if the order was signed for explaining the issue i.e. box missing, damaged and so on…). We will then take it up with the transport company to claim any costs back.
Other companies will not do this and ask the customers to claim off the courier company direct.
I have checked back on our system and I can see that the last time you ordered was over 2 years ago and around the time we were having some problems with our transport companies so we apologies for that. So I think this goes to show the importance of finding a good service and sticking with it as it will save people a lot of headache in the long run.
With regards to any other problems you experienced over 2 years ago I think that this was at the beginning of 2009 when a lot of businesses were having to make big adjustments to the ways they worked tubz vending included due to the economic down turn and national credit crunch setting in!
tubz vending certainly were not perfect back then and we do not claim to be perfect Now but we have made huge improvements and investments to our production lines, stock holdings, customer service, site finding and so no. We have also asked the same of the companies that work with us to give our customers the service they deserve. We will always endeavor to improve and do our best in this way.
I think you will find that if you ask your brother when we made many of these changes a couple of years ago how he found the service when Paul took over his account. I’m sure he would agree the service was much improved and Paul assures me he never had any issues during his account management.
I understand now that your brother has set up Sweet fix we will never have the opportunity to show the improvements we have made over the past 2 years to you and you view of tubz vending will always be as a competitor and there for slightly negatively bias but I genuinely wish you all the best and hope that the business goes well for you both.

More bull. All you've done is to repeat what you said above. Customers are not willing to pay a bit extra to have their goods delivered safe and together and on time . That is the absolute minimum you would expect from ANY courier. what you are is that you are not prepared to give a good delivery service unless you pay extra. Feedback from you customers.... who thought it neccessary to ask the question in the first place FFS......" Hi Mr Customer , would you be prepared to pay a little extra money if we can get your delivery to you on time and in one piece "......." No I wouldn't like to pay any extra , thats the least I expect of you . I would however like to pay a little less because I'm a good customer. "

paul was excellent and its all water under the bridge. I cant really say too much as it will just look like point scoring and I do think tubz vending operations did improve. I did have afew occasions when tubs were nicked out of boxes and nothing was done about it despite me complaining, that was a disappointment.

Parcelforce charge me £5.50 per case up to 60x60x60cm dimension of a maximum weight at 30kg, then £5.00 per case thereafter both plus VAT and fuel surcharge of 8%... we rebill this as £8.30 and £7.80 + VAT respectively where the difference between cost and charge is roughly £2.00 which covers the tri-wall carton, tape and packaging materials such as peanuts etc. That's an Express 24 service and we aim to ship same day on any order placed by noon..., most of our goods are volumetric so we can send in one large carton without exceeding a safe lifting weight for the drivers and of course customers.
The only time we charge extra is for a Saturday or AM delivery and that's because the carrier does. Accuracy is important so each customer address (there can be multiples per customer account) has a reference number so there's less chance of a mis-delivery such as the example given above, however I would say that different carriers do give different service levels however it's impossible to say one is problematic as each hub of each brand will have different staff, attitudes and issues - you take your chances but it is the suppliers responsibility to ensure due care has been taken and the best option selected to facilitate an 'on time' delivery in good condition. There should be no premium for that and making a profit on carriage in my opinion is an unforgivable sin of greed....
Theft from cartons, it can happen but using plain boxes and a sudaname on the shipping documents can help so the content value is not assumed and thus worth stealing. Trust me, at Christmas vibrators and inflatable sheep are high on the list.
