Sit on rides done on 50/50 basis, crane grab on 20%. I reckon crane grab margin is about 35% as the soft toys are creeping up in price. Crane cost £900 plus vat secondhand and did need a new grabbing assembly within a month (140 quid) but does work excellently now.
From your figures it works out at 3years to pay for the machine!

sure youve read that right.

win every time - cost 1100 with vat, my profit £30 a weekish, 36 weeks pay back.

igglepiggle, was free but long story but about £1000 secondhand £45 profit a week , 25 weeks.

postman pat 850 , profit £22 a week so 40 weeks

Its a chip which plugs into the pc slot which has say 6000 credits on it.So once the machine has taken £3000 the machine stops working & you have to buy a new chip from the manufacturer.I think they are around £200.It effectively means the manufacturer gets a cut of the takings.

my mate is the largest operator of these in the UK & is getting rid fast, due to poor takings in major pub chains, the money just aint out there at the minute & the more stuff you can do on the internet, the less these get used "played that on line" issue.

I think the paragon Dongles are £480 dont know how many hits that is though!

Crane doctor,

how many machines does he have out there? I want to try my luck on one machine, can you tell me where I can buy them? will he sell me a second hand one?

Cheers
