Re: dodgy traders
Anyone ripping someone off deserves to be named and shamed!
Besides, they could always come and give their side of the story if they wanted.

Ok here's my storychris gibbs wrote:hello to all just had a complete git stiff me for a couple of grand he is a supplier of hot drink and snack machines and was just wondering what the rules of this forum were regarding nameing and shameing these people so it does'nt happen to any of you lot (as far as i know he is'nt a member here)

The blokes name is Lloyd Cresswell works out of chesterfield,I purchased a "reconditioned" Stenterfield venturer and gave him £500 As a deposit for another two (to be installed later if the site was happy with the service I gave on the first ) Firstly the machine I ordered failed to show on the first two delivery dates(not a good start) but eventually was installed and worked fine for over a week then the cup drop turret stopped giving cups the change giver stopped giving change and opon inspection the boiler had four seperate leaks after nine weeks of constant repairs one of the leaks shorted out all the electrics and I demanded another machine. After constant excuses I finally got a replacement after checking it out the first thing I noticed was the cup turret wasn't even earthed! Two of the valves were leaking due to scale so that was another call out only to learn I should have a water filter(not mentioned by Lloyd)another £300! Any how the site no longer wants me to service the other two machines so over a 2 year contract that's a loss of atleast £10k and now the git is avoiding my calls.
So here I stand nearly £2000 worse off with a machine I know will give me grief for some time to come although now at least it's earning I have sent some texts off to Lloyd stating I will be taking action against him regarding the lost contract other than that I don't see anything else I can do, so you have been warned .

See a solicitor, of course, but I reckon you would be better off forgetting suing for "loss of contract" and just go for sending back all the equipment for a full refund!
I feel sure you are quite within your rights under the sale of goods act!
they must be "fit for pupose" and yours clearly aren't!!
Good luck

I have heard of this bloke. I had a coffee machine for sale a while ago and he may have called me, but I can't be sure. Selling a machine in this state could have electrocuted someone. Your solicitor should be able to point out his legal obligations when selling electrical goods.
