Re: Its time to be a completely open forum
it doesnt have to be private but some things do have to, it just happens to be the place I was at the time when I posted the thread. I dont give a toss who reads it.
With the help of this advantage I will destroy the competition, hike prices up to £30 quid a box and retire to the caribbean by next christmas. (goes back to stroking cat in sweetfix towers)

Three Plastics versus one composite!FlintVending wrote:The only way you are going to get all four, namely Snack A Can, tubz vending, Hurleys and SF onto a forum togerther is on UKBF. There is no way Snack A Can would come on here to post in my IMHO!Ade wrote:paul what your proposing is wrong on so many levels, firstly glenn supplies sweets and doesnt try to shaft you by threatning your buisness if you stop. i cant speak for hurleys but when it comes to tubz vending the thought of them being allowed access to the whole forum is irresponsible to say the least. no operator would post a thing.
Ade
I guess they are out numbered and they know it maybe thats one reason why Snack A Can choose too stay away?

Thanks,

I couldn't care less if suppliers use the forum or not, it's not here for them.
It's not here for them to get more customers and make more money, it's here for the operators.
I applaud Glen for what he's achieved (even though I don't buy any packaged stock from anyone) and think anyone else that buys stock from any supplier should shake Glenns hand or buy him a pint as he's saved you all money!
NONE of the stock prices would have dropped without him so the last thing we're going to do is kick him off.
well said daz

I think the phrase I'm trying for is :
" You're pissing in the wind "
Fairness is only a word, and I'm sick to my back teeth of being told that this isn't fair. Sweetfix is a very late entrant into a saturated market, so immediately they were at a disadvantage. How are we going to redress that unfairness. Maybe ask tubz vending, Hurleys, Snack A Can for their customer database so that Sweetfix can pitch their prices. Jog on.

Re: Its time to be a completely open forum
Lads this is a contentious issue and I have already posted as an admin. Now I can say as an operator,I have had experience, and lots of it, Of tubz vending , Hurleys, Snack A Can, and Sweetfix .Sweetfix is the only supplier who have not caused grief of some description to me ever. The rest use a lot of backhanded, dishonest bully boy tactics to get what they want. Sweetfix are operators who took it to a higher level. They self pack for themselves and don't mind selling off a bit of stock to keep stock moving and not going out of date. This has taken off for them and good luck to them I say. They manage to do , humbly , what the other suppliers have taken years to do and did it with way too much b**lsh*t. I can not see one advantage for an operator in letting those other guys on to a closed forum. AND I as a moderator don't want the added work of having to moderate what will undoubtedly become nothing more than adaily argument.
Sweetfix have revolutionised the mini can market. If they were to be rewarded for this then letting them have access to the closed forum is not enough of a prize. As I explained earlier it came about this way because of the way the other suppliers tried sneakily to get on the forum so they have no-one to blame but themselves.
Also if you knew the crap and lies that were told about Matt, Daz and myself and the insults that were threw at us, you might understand just what lengths these guys will stoop to and that will give an idea of where it all would end up if they were allowed on.

Re: Its time to be a completely open forum
Also the other suppliers can use the open forum to do anything that Glenn is doing in the closed section. The only difference is they can't see what Glenn is doing. Why would they need to see it anyway. Do they need Glenn to show them how to run their operations. All they would gain is that they get to see what Glenn is doing. So it's very close to a level playing field anyway.

Re: Its time to be a completely open forum
if you want to talk about fairness ask around about the story about how Mr original Salysol got his company and ideas swiped from under his feet, and ask about how customer list got illegally sold on by a rogue employee , and ask about why our competitors ran for years without putting in accounts then folded company to avoid bills, and ask about why it was hidden the fact that yumyum pots jammed and they knew it yet continued to sell stock, and ask about the number of times they have spouted on about me filling at home, and ask about people being let down on sitefinding. and ask about the continued lies about machine averages...

Re: Its time to be a completely open forum
Paul you sound like a socialist/communist wanting to participate in a commercial/capitalist world!!
Let me guess your all in favour for teachers going on strike even though the average age has gone up but the pension age stayed them same.
And we should carry on bailing out greece until the whole world has no money left.
oh and that gordon brown did great things for our economy.
I cannot see how someone who was very concerned about tubz vending seeing there posts in the PRIVATE forum when you were having problems with them has changed there opinion now you have it sorted out would like them to be able to join in along with suprise suprise Hurleys!!
Thats a bit like Tony blair calling for an end to world poverty while he makes 100's of millions for personal gain without giving little away!
Also for someone who was moaning about where the tower industry was going 9 months ago due to all prices rising and now benefitting hugely from the fact we offer stock out to some people which in turn brought down prices for everyone could just be the ironic Cherry on the irony cake!!
Cheers
Jonny
Ps mods please delete anything that people may find insulting. I don't want to cause any trouble just extremely frustrated.
