Pringles Again.

I've heard that the machine used for the production of Pringles for the UK has broken down. They expect to resolve the problems end July/early August.

I managed to get 60 trays from Makro on Friday, have about 4wks stock left.

just spoken to my local bookers the promotion has been cancelled as they have no pringles in stock and do not expect any untill late auguest at the earlest.

Just picked up 100 trays of Pringles from Makro, which I ordered about 3 weeks ago when they were last on promotion, so hopefully supply is starting to get through again.

I have spent a week trying to make contact with Pringles and can finally confirm the following, which I know has been reported previous however this is direct from the horses mouth.

They have a machinery problem and expect full production to be back no later than end of August.

After two emails, 23 phone calls being passed from pillar to post which lasted an hour and a half, I finally received an answer.

Their customer service is dreadful!

i went back to Bookers today (they promised that they would have some in today) true to their word they have, abount 100 trays of price marked - FAIL!!!!

My local Bookers in Blackpool are very reliable, I have got to know the guy who arranges delivery and he rings me to let me know when the promotions are on.
I have never had a problem with their service or delivery.

Makro however are a bit of a shambles, I ordered from them in mid May, they failed to have the order kept for me and I ended up having to make numerous phone calls and wait nearly a month for an incorrect & in-complete order, very poor service.

It may be that the quality of service depends more on the person controlling the stock than the store itself.

Currently Bookers in Blackpool have Pringles on offer at £4.19 + VAT, this offer is until Aug 16th.
