Be aware though with your store that local councils are becoming ever more vigilant and in particular where kids could be the eventual customer, your store needs to be compliant with food regulations if you are doing any kind of handling or repacking and of course vermin / pest / insect free. Ask the council for advice anonymously with withheld contact info...
Diversification is certainly a way forward but stick to what you know. We are in washroom vending, the montly turnover is comparable to snacks however we benefit from longer service intervals (higher return per hour of input) and higher margins per unit sold, downside is vandalisim / theft and limitation of suitable sites but when you apportion the r.o.i. versus effort in my experience washroom when you know what and how to sell exceeds food products. No product ie electronic, yes things like kiddie rides and boxer machines are good but increasingly more difficult to place with higher storage and repair / maintainance costs.
There's pro and con, I'd say there is no "best" it is just what works for you.
dorsetvending wrote:In my eyes best kind of vending is where site has multiple machines and where you can leave stock for them to refill. Do it right and u can pick up over £2000 each cash up - this is from best seasonal site that has 5 pringles 2 sweets 1 bouly 3 wonders and 1 apollo. They fill pringles and sweets rest I do.
Also believe u can spot certain deals that really make sense. For instance a Sticky can be bought for 13p inclusive. supposed to sell at 50p, but they sell great at £1 vend.
Really like the idea of Zero Product Cost vends like kiddie rides, but put off by poor exchange rate and storage issues for when machines get booted
Hey thats a great site Gavin, but you are coastal and I doubt any of my sites, or big chain pubs would be willing to have that many machines. I have googled Apollo and cant find them. I have also looked at Toyvend and similar.
