Best Containers
I know this topic has been discussed before but it's a topic that changes a lot. What I need to know from all the people who self pack, is , which is the best container to buy both in the mini can size and the larger pringle size. Also what prices are they and what quantities can you buy them in? I know I bought some off tubz vending about a year ago but ended up with a box of lids over as they make you buy twice the amount of lids than tubs.
I've been buying them from someone who went out of business but they have now sold them all all so I need a new supplier. I've got some good ideas for self packing and am going to expand this side of the business. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Re: Best Containers
Hi Noel,
The only company I would recommend other than tubz vending would be kit maquinas, However they are having production problems at the moment. Maquinas have good pots for both sizes.
cheers
Jonny

Re: Best Containers
Thanks Jonny,
Is this where you get yours Jonny? I would probably only need 500 of each at a time for now. I'm not going into supplying, Just I've found another type of site that would benefit from being able to change the contents frequently .
Also I'm starting another side to the business selling gift jars of sweets, all fancied up with ribbon and bows. Up to now I've been buying the jars and sweets retail to see how it went. Now that it's picking up, does anyone know where I can buy the jars wholesale. You know the ones with the heavy glass lid that's held on with wire like the old Grolsch bottles. Also need to find out where to buy my sweets wholesale in 5 kg bags or bigger.

Re: Best Containers
Also have been putting sweets into pringle sized containers and selling them from a stainless stand in shops. Going really well and the stands cost less than the tower machines. Also nearly every grocery shop I have approached have said yes to a stand. The punch line is that I can have the stand made to suit the space available in the particular shop. Some shops pay up front for the sweets and some I have to invoice but that doesn't bother me at all.

Excellent ideas well done, do you have an Ikea near you? There SLOM jars are decent at 90p each

Re: Best Containers
I've tried all the mini size tubs, and have ended up back to using tubz vending tubs.
I loved the maquinas ones for ease of packing, yet had so many lids pop off it ended up doing my head in.

Hi Noel,
We source them from all over the place but mainly maquinas.
With the Jars I can wholesale these to you. I have accounts with all the Jar manufacturers. do you know what size you need? Kilner Jars is the term I think you mean.
Cheers

Best Containers
It is, but takes a lot longer.
Also there's the odd pot where the lid just doesn't fit properly and you can see it rising and popping off by itself.
