help for heroes sites

Post by KASE »

Hi

can someone explain the h4h site principle to me please? Is it simply the site owner gives all commission to charity, or do they give percentage, do you donate percentage too? Do they organise the donation part or do you? Do you get tax benefits or do they? Are there special signs for the machines? Thanks in advance

Hi,

Firstly, you need to contact H4H and register. Ask for Claire McHenry as she has been involved since the beginning.

The national agreement is that operators pay 10% of the vend price to H4H. Some operators give more and some split the normal 20% commission between H4H and the site. The operator is responsible for paying the commissions over to H4H. There are no tax benefits, but if you do not pay the site a commission, then the full £1 becommes part of your turnover, unless you seperate it out on receipts and collect the H4H donations in a seperate account. This is something to bear in mind if you are intending to grow to a level where your turnover exceeds the VAT threshold. You need H4H approved stickers for the machines, which you have to pay for.

Thanks,

Paul

Thanks.

Hurleys sell the stickers at £1 each + vat. Not sure about tubz vending, or Sweetfix.

Thanks,
