Excuses

Post by Snackmore »

Got turned away from a new site today because (its a chip shop) they are worried that someone would break in to get the cash, stated that it had happened before at a previous shop and did not want to take the risk. Then admitted that was a fruit machine, couldnt get through to the guy after that

Anyone else found this?
Steve

I've actually had a lot of machines damaged during break ins and did wonder myself if the break ins would have even occurred if my machine wasn't on view!

Yes i had it happen to me 4 years ago with a chippy that didnt have a rolling shutter. They smashed the window and trashed my vending machine and a fruit machine. If it dosnt have a rolling shutter now i would not site in there

I find all the chip shops I have ever had are useless in the summer because all the stock melts, its impossible to put them somewhere where the sun wont melt them in most

No i dont put towers in chippys they are not right in my opinion and i have tryed them. A 20 pence bulk machine works better and toys will outsell sweets by a 70% to 30% ratio

too true Brian

I have just bought a small round of 20p machines that are mostly in takeaways and nearly all the Minstrels are melted.
I got the machines very cheap as the guy wasnt making any money as he was throwing Minstrels away all the time (what a plank).
pulled most of them out and replaced with F2s vending 27mm balls and cheap 45mm capsules and now coining it in :D
Job Done

Sweets DO NOT work well in Chippys IMO

I have a simlar story. i use to have a 20 minstral and jelly bean machine in a chippy which was no good i swaped to to a tower machine which was also rubbish. It was a chrome machine that used to get really greasy smudge marks on it. Now i have a 20p/50p F2 machine and a quid bouly machine doing very well for me
