I would not have expected them to help me if it was just a case of I cant afford to buy the stock, no business in their right mind would do that in these circumstances. The crux of this is I had a problem, they came up with a solution and took a gamble (on me) at the same time. This will pay over and over as my ethics are such that I will not forget this.
Most good businesses should do this, its simply a credit account.

Yes I accept that most do 30 days credit but this will be open ended in other words when I have cleared half the stock which is likely to be 3 months or more

That has to be the most positive thing I have ever heard a supplier say on this forum. And not a mention of a competitor. It proves the old saying ...less is more. Good on ya Paul. You are well ahead of the pack Paul ....stay there.

Just to back us up as to why we don't offer credit... Is because all companies that offer credit need to get it insured. Also if you pay by credit card it gives you 30 credit. So can't see what the point is asking a customer for a large amount of stock for few machines as stock will be sitting there running out of date.

See now, there's the difference between your post and Hurleys. They didn't take a pop at you for not giving credit, but you had to take a pop at them for doing it. They're learning , you aren't.

And you say you don't give credit because you need to get it insured...well so what , insure it if you have to. And neither did they say you HAD to buy a large amount of stock to get the credit. It just so happened to be more viable to increase his order a bit.

And yes paying by credit card DOES give 30 days credit, but that's thanks to the credit card NOT tubz vending.
I have always bought off tubz vending but it does embarrass me all the time to see how negative and NON-CUSTOMER ORIENTATED they are. As the gap closes between suppliers and their products, cos lets face it they are all mostly the same, customer service is all there is left to attract the customer.

yep, my idea might be to offer 60-70% down, 30-40% in four weeks time for half pallets. Frankly its easier to send out 30 boxes , all wrapped up nice on a pallet without the vagaries of the couriers chucking them about. Of course from a business perspective its tricky cashflow wise. You cant have everyone having 3 months credit as you have to pay the sweet companies end of the month.
