Insurance Claim

Post by mikeholness »

I have my insurance with Simply Business like most people on here.

Has anyone ever made a claim with them on stolen machines.
Reason I am asking is I have just had 2 machines stolen from a pub that had closed down for a month. Then new owners reckon place was gutted out by bailiffs whilst shut.

Nobody knows who bailiffs are.
Do I need a police report to make a claim.

Thanks

Hi Mike, Bad luck on the theft. What do SB charge for property cover?

Thanks,
Simon.

Baliffs would have left a notice I would think & baliffs would have been sent by the brewery.

Write off the loss, reporting to police is a waste of time. To insure a fleet of sited machines would in my view too expensive (about £6k pa for 250 machines). I write off at least a dozen machines, stock, stands etc each year (£2/3K) and claim against tax and move on.

Pete is quite right, forget about insurance unless you have to have it (liability and motor) otherwise forget it.
The insurance industry makes billions out of customers like us every year.
They make money because they know they pay less out than they charge for premiums, ALOT less.
why have a middle man make money out of you?
they always wiggle out of paying even if you have a genuine claim, just take the knocks and move on!
As pete says, losing a few towers a year is always going to cost less than the insurance premiums and if you end up better off one year, they simply raise there premiums so you will never win!
Insurance is a bloody con!
