Re: games machine business bundle
The machines I sell were reviewed by HMRC last year and once a few changes were made were deemed ok( The fruit symbols on the machines were not acceptable but once they were changed to vegetables that was ok .
They wont be reviewed again for donkeys years they have far bigger fish to fry.

I'm surprised you haven't talked more about these on here Phil.
I'm certainly interested in hearing some figures and general operating info.

I didn`t want to blatantly advertise my wares as I know thats it`s not really what the forum is for.

Re: games machine business bundle
Flash based website grrrr can't view it on my phone in bed.
I'll have a look tomorrow.
I have been googling a bit and I found 2 different references to them being remote network linked.
1 in the user manual stating "if the machine is on but games won't play - Have you paid your bill as the machine will lock out"
And the other on a reseller stating "Deliveries of the new machines have already begun with all machines network linked to the Coinspinner Coinweb system for remote accounting purposes."
Is this with all of them or certain ones? Do you have to pay an ongoing fee to buy credits like with some of the quiz machines?

Daz,
These machines are basically a standalone PC. So any package would I would guess need to include a maintenance contract for breakdown and possible reprogramming with legislation change or system upgrades.

Re: games machine business bundle
they are around until someone says something about them, its happened on various occasions the latest being the Skill Ball Bingo machine which was deemed illegal pretty much overnight, there were around 3500 of these in the field, the gambling commssion & HMRC made a ruling & that was it!, what happened was the company made a kit for them called "Skill Ball Deluxe" @ £3000 & We Made a kit called "Golden Balls" @ £1695 that brought them back into legality, the big issue always is that all the GC & HMRC will say is that they have no objection to them being used ( but a court may decide different ) they will never stamp a skill machine as skill.Vendition Ltd wrote:cranedoctor wrote:not having a dig mate but i have seen so much stuff that people buy as a business package that takes hundreds per week, yeh they do in real busy sites, but in 98% of "Found sites" that take nothing, there have been loads of people stung with deals. after doing lots of work on skill machines over the last 2 years, there is no one that can give you a stamp saying that any are skill, its all pretty much take it as skill until the gambling commission / hmrc say they arnt.flandersbontempi wrote:Yes that is my listing.I operate quite a few and they do well for me.I sold my tower business of 200 odd machines and make the same money with 25 of these for alot less work.
As you say cranedoctor like all vending machines its all about the location.
Be wary of some of the cheap machines on ebay as recent changes in the gambling laws made them illegal.
Got your message Nigel will catch up with you in the week.
Phil
so don't you think these new Skill with prizes machines will be around for very long then?
Like i said earlier im not trying to put people off ,Phil will know what he`s doing & he clearly said that the high footfall sites are were the money is, these are pretty good by all acounts in kebab houses etc ( busy ones ) as they can no longer have gambling devices.

Re: games machine business bundle
they are full of **** Phil, they do crazy things, they will keep their eye on them 100% as there recent company policy was "Find some money", they are looking at all stuff in our industry big time, & also they are only looking at the machines for Licence Duty, it`s the Gambling Commission that control the legality of such machines. Like i said in a previous post they will never give you a letter stating they believe that these are a game of skill.flandersbontempi wrote:The machines I sell were reviewed by HMRC last year and once a few changes were made were deemed ok( The fruit symbols on the machines were not acceptable but once they were changed to vegetables that was ok .

Re: games machine business bundle
Phil, is there anyone on the forum that's started with these?
Or anyone you can invite to the forum.
I'd love to hear some stories on actual figures and how people have got on with these.
