Pringles discontinued

Post by chris gibbs »

Hi guys and girls just got back from collecting my Pringle order from bookers today to be told that cheese and onion+prawn have been discontinued leaving us just four flavours left, how do you think this will effect sales? Indeed will the 40g Pringle soon be completely gone?
Regards a worried Chris .

We've heard this many times over the last year, yet Makro always seems to have them so I'm wondering if maybe it's just Bookers not wanting to stock then any more.

Hi just been to macro they have no offers on for at least a month, spoke to the manager he said he wouldn't be surprised if the dissapeared all together. So if we go with the worst case scenario what would we all do? Sell maxi tubz vending? True they sell but not on the scale of Pringles, perhaps I am scaremongering I'm not sure .

Sorry Chris, I didn't mean they are always on offer at Makro but everytime Makro have an offer they always have Prawn Cocktail available.

I think your jumping the gun a bit. Pringles have just raised their price mark from 49p to 59p. Why would they bother if they where killing them.

Chris,

Got 50 trays C& O last week, They dropped smokey bacon a few years ago. They'll just keep the four flavours that sell well.

Still it begs the question where do we go if the unthinkable happens?

There is alway the maxi tubz vending to fall back on. I used them in the summer when there was a pringle shortage and they sold ok with chocolate fingers and maryland cookies in. The price of a maxi tub need to drop a little though.
