Hi David,

Thanks for the update on how you started up and grown over the last few years. It shows what you can achieve through a little investment to begin with followed by a lot hard work. Nice to know what happened to First Leisure I didn't know that you'd taken them over. I note that from some of the posts above some people here on this forum see you as a threat. To me there are no threats, just opportunities. I look forward to meeting you in due course.

All the best,

Pete

What! Not at all.
Have we ever not allowed free speech?
There where many posts about corporations avoiding tax which has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.
There's nothing stopping them starting there own topic to discuss it.

Well my joining seems to put the cat amongst the pigeons. As I have said I will answer as I can. I am only an employee.

As far as sites are concerned we do not cold call or the such any sites that we go in to. We are a small team and don't have the time or inclination to do so. We only install a site if asked to by the landlord, BDM or machine manager. We have obligations to the accounts that we have and as a rule do what they ask of us. If we are instructed install at a site we will do or we will be taken to task why we haven't done as requested and risk losing the account/contract. We have had to work hard and invest to get these accounts. They prefer one point of contact, all collection data is sent via EDI to a http://www.clms.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which had considerable costs to implement, more often than not all cash is left on site and we get our part 4 - 6 weeks later.

Our main office and warehouse is in Tamworth. There are 17 employed operatives on the road servicing machines across the UK each with a van and local warehouse.

If I discussed commission and cost of product on here I would not have a job. What I can say is that our accounts & suppliers earn more than we do for every £1 that is put in the machines we operate. Someone mentioned that it is tough out there, it is, without question.

I have met some great people in and around vending during my short time. The top of that list being Ian at Instance and Nick from Toyvend. They have given help and guidance when i needed it and have always been straight with me.

What more can I say? After reading some comments I felt I had to justify Perform but then again why should I? Every site or account any of us have is ours to lose by not giving what we are asked for.

Over and out

David

I think that is a major thorn in most of the operators side here, they did give what the site wanted, but were gazumped by a major operator. Bit of a difference to poor service, if that were the case I would agree. But, it wasnt so maybe bit of an unfair comment there .More to the annoyance of some operators is you are selling the same products but then that is down to the supplier I suppose.
