Although a lot of my stuff comes from ebay is it worth a trip to a car boot?
Do people pick up many bargains from there, or actually find anything there?

yeah often stolen machines turn up at boot sales.
Happened to me twice now.
Second time my service number was on there, seller said he found it in a skip.
just took it back and let the police deal with him!
