Minstrels
Just had an email from Mike at midland saying that nestle will be stopping making minstrels by the end of the year.
Due to all the issues they have had with the shell colour problems.
I really hope this is not the case as these are my best seller with skittles.
His supplies has said they will be replacing minstrels with a new product.
Can any of the 3 suppliers shed any light on this.

Re: Minstrels
Would seem logical as this issue has clearly puzzled the producers. The issue has been live for over a year so it seems as if they cannot solve the problem and have had enough of the complaints.

Re: Minstrels
Its such a big seller and has a massive market share I am not convinced that Nestle will stop production. Thought that they had sorted it now?

Galaxy Minstrels, are nothing to do with Nestle, they're made by Mars in Slough.

Re: Minstrels
apparently the vending minstrels are made by a different machine so these ones will probably be stopped at the end of the year but 12 weeks notice has been promised...they are thinking to make a larger (non-vending) bag instead so perhaps people will be able to re-package these but I'm sure all will become clear. its a problem with the machine thats making them not the product itself so minstrels are unlikely to disappear altogether

Re: Minstrels
Hi there.
I have had confirmation this afternoon that Minstrels will no longer be available in "vending bags". Ive pasted the text of the email below
The upshot of this is that after out next 100 boxes on Minstrels, the cost will rise by £3 per box.
Its first come first served on the 100 boxes, but with the Snack a can franchisees and customers weve taken on, I dont think they will last very long...........
There are very good Milk Chocolate lentoid products on the market from more than one supplier. I know they wont sell as well as Minstrels. Also, theyre not stopping producing MInstrels, so it may be we can buy smaller bags and still pack them but naturally the cost price of these bags will be more per kilo than the current bulk bags.
I apologise for putting this on vending news rather than the supplier page, but I thought more people would see it here and the thread was already on this part of the forum for the MInstrel issue
Best regards, Paul.

Apparently Mars were subsidising some of the cost of the product to some of the suppliers, news to me.Just to let you know update on Minstrels Vending Stock. Mars are going to
