Hi guys just wanted to let you know I am setting up a business selling cigarettes through vending machines.
Since nobody does it these days I thought I would give it a go.
I have even set up a free website for you to check out. See here http://wharty79.wix.com/cigarettevending#!home/mainPage" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Let me know what you think.
Ok so I was bored this weekend and I had an idea!!

This is bound to fail in the long run, so why waste your time and money.

Paul it's more of a spoof site really, one to test and get peoples opinion and see if it gets noticed.Rossi fan wrote:This is bound to fail in the long run, so why waste your time and money.

I use spoof sites to get feedback on ideas,to see if people want such a product or service.
I don't actually plan on doing it. I just wanted to show that you can get round the legislation buy selling the cigs online and then purely collecting the cigs from a machine of your choice.
You simply have your phone in the pub, order your cigs online and then collect from the machine within seconds of paying.
The key is the vending machine doesn't sell cigarettes, you buy them online and collect from a machine.

Re: New cigarette vending business!!
Couple of fundamentals in the business plan adrift;
(1) By the time you find out about and use the app you could have been to the shop and back and paid less.
(2) The location will be compliant by holding the stock, so why not sell it themselves at full profit margins...
Nice idea but I do not see it working. The fact that payment is remote would probably fall under distance selling and as the venue would be 'party' to the transaction likely involved, a minefield that any premises holding a license to sell alcohol will not want to walk through.
